At long last, we're excited to revive Trans* at Base, newly in partnership with Rabbi Eliana Kayelle and Keshet! This is a space to find and connect with other trans, nonbinary, and gender non-confirming* Basers.
We'll gather monthly with rotating facilitators, and ideas range from learning or singing together to low-key hang out time. Our meeting this January will be a chance to share ideas for what you'd like from Trans at Base and reignite this community.
No experience with Base necessary!
Reach out to R' Frankie with any questions and if you have questions about whether this is the right space for you to join.
Do you have another identity or experience that you'd like to connect around in this way? Let us know - whether R' Frankie and Elaina hold this identity or not, we'd love to support you finding your people!
Things to know:
- We understand access as an ongoing process & conversation; we're excited to work with our community to be maximally welcoming.
- Covid: Please take a rapid test before coming! We’ll have a few on hand if you forget or don’t have access to one. This event will be outside where masks are optional but welcome outside; please wear a mask inside. .
- There are about 6 steps into our house where the restroom is. We are working with our neighbors and property manager to arrange a wheelchair accessible bathroom - if you would benefit from this please let us know when you register and we can work to ensure one is available. Thanks for your patience as we work to make our house more physically accessible.
- We minimize the use of scents in our house and ask that you do the same when visiting.
- Food: Our kitchen is ingredient-kosher, meaning everything that comes in is kosher but not necessarily hekshered; all meat that we serve will be hekchered. If you require hekshered food or have other dietary restrictions, please indicate that on your registration. We’re committed to making sure you have something to eat and may reach out if we have questions about how to best do that.
